My Students

"We want children to feel confident, excited, and eager to play, explore, and learn as they interact with technology." -Chip Donohue, Director of the Technology in Early Childhood (TEC) Center. I teach elementary students with special needs who struggle with reading, writing, and math.

My students with special needs are 2-3 grade levels below in reading, writing, and math.

Some come from homes where technology and resources for learning are scarce. Our school is diverse and the majority of the students come from low-income households.

My Project

I currently have two desktop computers for students to use, but these computers are older and often don't work when I need them to. Students would be able to use the tablets to practice their reading, spelling, and math skills. The tablets would provide them with fun, interactive ways to learn the skills. There is plethora of educational apps that would be available to them on the tablet.

The donations from the generous donors will help to improve my students' learning and their independence.

They will feel more confident about themselves. The students will be able to have access to more knowledge and will be able to better themselves.
