My students need a computer and printer to support their learning. These will allow them to use programs geared to support children with special needs.

My students are a wonderful group of children that need more support than typically developing kids.
They are a diverse group of learners from multi-cultural backgrounds. Our school is a Title One school, which means that most of our students live below the poverty line. This coupled with being English Language Learners and having special needs means that they need a lot of additional support. Our school is totally committed to providing my students with a learning environment that provides them with skills that will help them become independent adults and life long learners.
My Project
I am requesting an Apple iMac, mouse, cd drive and printer to support my students' learning. This will allow them to communicate through programs geared to support children with communication deficits. This computer and printer will be used during all academic instruction and linked to our Eno-Board for whole class and small group instruction across the curriculum. The materials would enable my students to successfully work more independently using technology - my students do not have access to computers at our school.
Donations for this project would allow me to continue to support my students to communicate and learn in ways that break language and learning barriers.
They would improve my classroom by giving my students the access to more technology on a daily basis to become independent learners.
