Help me give my students 5 tablets they'll use to create projects, practice coding and play educational games to reinforce learning in a fun and engaging way!
This year I'll be teaching eighteen second-grade students. My students are very energetic, free-spirited and colorful! The class is made up of students who live in a variety of home environments. They also come from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds. This group of students are struggling learners who fall at least one grade below level in all subjects. They will need extra support in the classroom. These students learn best through engaging hands on projects, imagery, and music.
These students have made strides with what they have, but I believe they will soar even higher with the right tools that allow them to learn in the way that best suits their needs.
My Project
Most of the students I will be teaching are not in economically stable environments and don't have much access to technology. When students use materials like tablets and computers in class, they learn how to use 21st century skills to help them process their learning. Fun activities and games allow students to stay engaged and focus on the content they're learning.
My students are only exposed to technology one morning per week due to sharing across classrooms.
Having these tablets in our classroom allows my students daily opportunities to create, participate in educational play and develop 21st century technological skills.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
