Teaching with Tablets, A Fun and Exciting Way to Learn!
My students need visual and tactile support in their learning.
This will also serve as an educational reward. The children truly love using a tablet and think they are playing, however, they are learning as well.

My Students
Kindergarten and first grade can be so much fun! Our students learn in many different ways using all of our senses and multiple intelligence. We use a wide range of techniques to help all the students succeed no matter what their level. Most of the students come from families from a low socioeconomic status, with over 70% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Brooklyn. Our school is a caring community of successful learners, which can be seen through collaborative student project based learning in and out of the classroom. Kindergartners and first graders in our classes love to work with hands-on materials and have many different opportunities to practice a skill before it is mastered.
My Project
Tablets are a great learning tool for special needs students.
Students think they are being rewarded and playing a game, when in fact they are learning.
They would be using apps such as Endless Numbers, which starts off with introducing users to numbers then moves into sequences and even basic arithmetic. Interactive number based puzzles help reinforce what your kids learn in an even more fun way! No matter what mode you are in though the wonderful animations help make the game feel natural.
Endless Alphabet uses colored letters to help with the ABCs. Endless Alphabet goes beyond that though and also helps kids learn words letter by letter using the same cool colored letters and adding in drawn pictures of the word to help them associate the spelling with the concept of the word.
