Teaching to the Curious at Home

Help me give my students the exciting teaching they're used to in our vibrant, science-filled classroom. By having a whiteboard, colorful markers and a digital microscope, I'll be able to show them how to make models and other drawings.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Sanchez's classroom raised $202

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a bilingual third grade.

My students are inquisitive, science-loving students, who love to learn.

They are into learning about technology, animals, and the natural world. By having resources that are available in Spanish and in English, my students can continue to hone their academic skills in Spanish which they will then transfer to their English language development.

Having taught students through distance learning for three weeks now, I know that they are anxious to do more writing and drawing with me. My students are used to having a notebook in front of them most of the day to write down their ideas, and having me model it on the whiteboard.

My Project

We are curious about the world around us, and having a microscope attached to the computer where we do distance learning will allow me to introduce new phenomena into our science lessons.

My third graders are inquisitive, curious kids who want to learn about STEM, and these resources will help quench their curiosity!

The whiteboard, paper pad, and markers will allow me to teach my kids in the manner which they're used to by having me model paragraphs, scientific modeling, and math problems.
