FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Daley's classroom raised $133
This project is fully funded
The building blocks of a Science education is the Scientific Method. I am a fifth grade Science teacher and at the beginning of the year, I always teach the steps to the Scientific method. Students often have a hard time applying the concepts with our first lab, and the reason why is that they need practice with the method first! Students need to be able to take the newly learned steps and apply them to a basic procedure. With the right kits especially designed for this purpose, students can have that opportunity. Our school really embraces the importance of a solid Science education (even for fifth graders) and these tools will help students learn! It is important for students to have a deeper understanding and apply what they have learned. Children need to understand all the procedures that Scientists go through with each and every experiment. They often believe that Scientists merely play around with chemicals randomly, or check out volcanoes with no particular reason. With these kits students will understand how Scientists truly work. As an educator, I know first hand that students learn when they have an opportunity to interact with what they are learning. With your help, students can start their year off right in Science!
