My Project

We have many students with Autism who need different types of sensory input. The colorful floor tiles will surely be a hit. Since they can be used together, or separately, students can utilize them in our Sensory Room or various classrooms.

Every student spends time in their general education classroom, but some spend a bit more time in our special education classes.

We strive to help them build skills in the special education setting that they can carry over into their general education classes. Without a set of cubbies in our special education classroom, students do not get the opportunity to practice hanging up their coats and keeping track of their personal belongings. Taking off coats, putting on hats/gloves, etc. are all skills that we work on daily. Having their own cubbies will help tremendously!
