My Project
Teaching 1st Grade is one of the hardest jobs there is! I feel that this is the grade that sets the tone for the rest of their education through grade school, middle school, and High School. For the first time, they attend school for the entire day. These little kids learn to be independent and responsible for themselves. We create good habits of organization with their work in the classroom. We then apply what we learn at school with the connection at home by teaching them to take home their "Homework Folders" each day and bring them back the next. In these folders, we show parents their finished work from school and give important papers to parents that need to come back to the teacher.
With a sturdy mailbox that is labeled with their name and number, I am able to teach them how to put finished work and important things that need to go home to parents in the mailbox throughout the day.
I also teach them to put unfinished work inside their desk in their sturdy "School Folder." This is work that isn't finished that we will get to later.
It is so important to keep things organized in the classroom. The items that I have selected will help me do just that! Please help support me and my class by funding my project.
