STEAM Workstations for Kindergarten Students

Help me give my students STEAM-related games, math and reading workstations, tablets, storage memory cards, wireless printer and ink, laminator and laminating pouches, storage bags and pockets, and plastic drawers.

My Students

My kinder classroom is the gateway to education for Gifted and Talented students. These malleable minds are open receptors for innovative teaching techniques that use tech in fun ways.

My gifted students love the challenge of engaging in critical thinking activities.

Tablets and math and reading workstations can serve as great learning devices for my students, especially when they promote problem solving skills. Like other young children, my students learn best from hands-on experience. Holding the objects in their hands, students are able to make connections that allow them to develop a concrete understanding of math, reading, and STEAM concepts. These workstation materials and tablets will help my students work in fun learning techniques using games and technology. The other requested materials will allow my students to print, laminate, and store their projects from workstations.

My Project

The math, reading, and STEAM-related workstations will allow my students to have a hands-on focus on learning. They will use the math and reading games and tablets to practice learning objectives for this school year. The other STEM toys will guide the students through other difficult concepts, such as critical thinking and logical reasoning.

These materials will help develop higher order thinking skills and promote creative thinking in an interactive way.

We need to ensure that children begin to construct a durable foundation in STEAM and literacy from their early years. The development of capable and promising future leaders begins at the elementary school level, when the love for STEAM learning begins.

My kids are very receptive to the use of educational games and technology as a learning tool. With tablets, my students will be able to access math and science websites, educational games, and interactive learning software, which will enrich their understanding and appreciation for the disciplines. We need memory cards to add storage space on the tablets so that we can save class work. The wireless printer and ink allow us to print student projects from the tablets and the laminator and laminating pouches will add a layer of protection to student work. The plastic drawer, book buddy bags and zipper file bags, and dry erase pockets will help students keep track of these projects and workstation materials.

I believe that hands-on, interactive use of the technology and learning games will encourage my students to pursue a career in mathematics, science, and engineering.
