Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our summer program teachers visit students in their homes to provide them with literacy experiences in an array of lessons. The summer heat in our state can be a factor as our teachers attempt to stay cool while providing quality literacy support to students in their home. Unfortunately, some of our families do not have air conditioning in their homes, so these personal fans can be a true asset for our teachers. Staying "cool" during each lesson can be a instrumental as our teachers work to help needy students retain their reading skills via quality literacy lessons during the summer weeks.
