Help me give my students an organized, efficient music lesson with two rolling utility carts. I suspect that due to COVID-19 restrictions, I will be teaching on a cart/traveling from room to room, so I need carts.
My students are amazing individuals who collectively make up a beautifully diverse community. They are passionate about what they enjoy, opinionated, quick-witted, and they want to be happy. I am eager to help my students grow in their musicality. The sky’s the limit!
Music can and should be an avenue for my students to express themselves, focus on being creative, and let go of some of their worries for a while.
Many of my students speak Spanish as their first language, although some come from as far away as Nepal. A significant percentage of the student population is learning to speak English, while still being held to high standards of learning and achievement in primarily English-based curricula. They deserve to be celebrated for who they are; their unique personalities and experiences should be valued for the way they add beauty and complexity to modern America.
My Project
In this new world of COVID-19, schools are going to be operating very differently; that includes traveling "specials" because there isn't time for us to deep-clean & sanitize our classrooms between each class. So if I'm going to be teaching on a cart, I will need a cart! Especially with electrical outlets for my speakers, laptop, projector, and document camera. These carts are heavy-duty utility carts on caster wheels, ideal for smooth in-and-out transitions from classroom to classroom as I work through my teaching schedule each day. Having these carts at the beginning of the new school year will allow me to hit the ground running.
