it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Within the beautiful community of Jackson Heights, N.Y., I have the privilege of working with very enthusiastic, and ambitious, young learners. My students are engaged in a dual language program, in which, we aim to become successful learners in English and in Spanish. This school year, we are preparing to welcome all students back into the classroom for in-person learning. I am as determined as my students to ensure they have the tools necessary to continue doing their best learning.
My Project
Teaching in small group has never been more imperative. This school year, we are preparing to welcome all students back for in-person learning. To ensure a safe and motivating meeting place for students with their teacher, that encourages social behavior, creativity and cooperation among students, I would greatly appreciate your support in purchasing a "Kidney Table" and flexible seating options. These items will be crucial for helping me differentiate student needs. That means gathering students with similar needs and goals, providing guided practice for vital skills and strategies, and meeting students where they are academically.
