Help me give my students a classroom that is stocked with the things they need for their art projects this year! We are opening a printmaking, weaving and digital center this year.
The students I teach live in a low-income urban setting. I teach at 2 different elementary schools that are located in the heart of Massachusetts and I personally educates approximately 700 students a year for Art Education.
While a lot of work is being done within the city to improve the lives of our growing minds, our public schools are suffering from a lack of funding.
I want to do whatever I can to provide a quality education to these children so they can better themselves and grow as learners.
My Project
My students need these supplies to be able to efficiently work in their art centers this year. There are many supplies that need to be organized with the storage containers I am asking for. We will open a weaving and printmaking studio. I am also adding a tablet so the students can upload photos of their work as well as research ideas and drawing techniques. Last year we opened a drawing, collage and sculpture center so some of these supplies will add to those centers. Lastly, I am adding a wobble chair to my "think island" which is an area in my room for students to take a break if they are feeling frustrated, mad or sad.
