Teaching Financial Literacy

Help me give my students a classroom economy system in which my leaders can earn "Leader Loot" by completing classroom job duties, displaying the 7 Habits, following SOPs, demonstrating growth on different assessments and other various methods.

My Project

This project will allow me the opportunity to learn about financial literacy through a classroom economy, as well as increase classroom participation, classwork completion and encourage appropriate behaviors.

Students will have the opportunity to trade in their "Leader Loot" for the candy, stress balls, toys and fidgets.

By focusing on the positive behaviors rather than negative it will encourage students to self monitor and motivate them to be active in their classroom.

Our students are from diverse backgrounds and are in extreme poverty. Bringing real life literacy like financial into the educational setting paired with reward will provide economical perspective and skills.
