This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If children are our future, I am satisfied to know that this class of students will make this world a better place. They have already demonstrated perseverance because of the many challenges they have faced this year.
My students are creative, hard working, and love learning.
They are always willing to try new things and believe in the Power of Yet. They have a Growth Mindset and know that if they don't understand a concept, they will get it through hard work and perseverance.
Through DonorsChoose.org, I hope to support their social emotional learning, foster their creativity, and boost their self confidence, helping them to gain the skills to be successful in not only the next grade, but in their lifelong goals.
My Project
My students are creative and have loved learning essential 3rd grade concepts through the use of art materials. Now I would like to continue to connect to their creative sides and teach Language Arts, Math, and Science standards through music. Ukuleles are fun snd easy to learn. The more fun I can make my lessons, the more I grab student attention and help them reach high levels of understanding. Music has a great power to connect students to one another and to academic topics as well. Thank you for considering supporting this endeavor.
