This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first grade teacher with 15 curious and hard-working students who come in each morning with smiles on their faces, eager to learn. I love their willingness to try new things and learn from their mistakes. They love hands-on activities that make them think outside of the box. My hope for my class is to give them resources and unique experiences to help them grow into good students and good people. Given this is only my third year teaching, my classroom is lacking many resources and games that I need to support my students.
My Project
This year has been especially challenging for me and my students because our mode of learning can change daily. I teach students in person and at home simultaneously so I have the ability to be in my classroom with my materials when we aren't quarantined.
However, when we transition to at home learning, it's hard to bring all of my materials home and set up an "at home classroom".
These materials will help support my at home classroom so that my students are getting the best education possible when we transition home for learning.
