This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten children! The children are so excited and curious about the world that they live in. So many of them are longing to come back to school to play, and learn with their teacher and friends again. With everything that so many of my students and their families have faced during this pandemic, it is so important to me that I am able to spread kindness. Many families are unable to buy the necessary school supplies for their children. I would greatly appreciate support in creating individual student school supplies boxes, and be able to have flexible seating In our classroom since we are required to socially distance ourselves. I look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces, and I’m sure that parents will be grateful too!
My Project
Flexible seating will allow my students the freedom to take control of their learning experience. They will be able to choose the the best place for them to actively engage in lessons and perform at their best. Flexible seating will also help my little kinders who naturally need to move in their seats, especially those who have ADD/ADHD. I am also asking for help with trying to help provide my students with their individual school supply pouch, so that I can limit the contact of germs between students. It will also be something special for them to receive with their own names on it! My final request is for masks with clear protection, so that when I am teaching my littles phonics and reading, they will be able to see my mouth.
