I need to attend the Pathfinders Summer Institute for Technology because I want to provide my students with quality technology instruction!

My Students

My "crew" is a classroom that works hard every day! The crew consists of 25 charming students and one caring teacher. We LOVE learning, and want to enhance our classroom experience by working on STEM projects!

My students come from many different countries, but technology can take them to places they've never been!

Our classroom is fun, engaging and a second home for all my children. I try to do everything that I can to make them feel at home and welcome in our class environment. We are always laughing, smiling and having fun learning new things. As a class, we do not let our differences stop us from achieving our goals in the classroom, and in life!

My Project

I'm requesting an opportunity to attend a professional development workshop at the Pathfinders Summer Institute. This program is an intensive week of professional development for K-12 public school teachers to learn about Computer Science and Making. I want to incorporate more technology into my instruction to help my students become 21st-century learners. The institute will provide resources that I can use in my classroom to give students more technology-enhanced instruction!

This opportunity will help me become a better teacher who WILL provide a more quality education for my students!

My students encounter technology on a daily basis outside of school (TV, phones, computers, etc.). I want to use technology in the classroom to help them become critical thinkers that can solve problems. The Pathfinders Summer Institute will teach me how to use technology in my classroom to make that happen. My students will definitely benefit from what I learn.
