Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic but often lack the motivation to work on their classwork. They also need support with English speaking and listening. Most are English learners and are struggling in their English Language Arts class.
My students come from a diverse school in a large city.
Part of the school is a magnet with students from all over the city. My students, however, are comprised mainly of residential students from the local low-income neighborhood. Most are English learners, as well.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers provides new lessons that are proven to be interesting and engaging for students. These lessons are made by teachers that use them and know what works with different students from honors to special education.
With remote learning, I need the new lessons and class activities that are found on Teachers Pay Teachers.
This gift card will pay the teacher for their created lesson and provide me and my students with fresh invigorating class activities. The lessons will vary from vocabulary and grammar, to literature and creative writing. I also hope to find games and review activities the students will enjoy.
