My students are always full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. My students are eager to learn and be the best they can be. Whether it is learning how to read, participating in STEAM projects, or experiencing various types of technology for the first time, my students put forth their best every day.
I teach at a school of close to 1200 students right outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Our school serves a range of students from those living in hotel rooms to average middle-class families. The students at my school have a great passion for learning and they strive to grow in their education every day. Gaining valuable resources in the classroom provides my students with everything they need to achieve high expectations.
My Project
During the pandemic, my students are back in school in a hybrid model at this time, with the possibility of going back 5 days face-to-face soon. At this time, students are not allowed to use the playground equipment, bring in games from home, or share materials. Plus, if it is a rainy day, we are stuck inside and they want something else to do other than getting on an iPad again.
I am requesting materials for each student like bubbles, LEGOs, activity books, jump ropes, and more so my students will be able to have things to choose and play with during both indoor and outdoor recess.
I plan to provide each child with their own recess bag that they can get and take outside or use at their desks so we can still maintain social distancing, yet give students something fun to do during recess.
