My Students
My students have special needs and could really benefit if they had access to technology and up to date educational programs.
A little over 3 years, ago I was in a serious accident where I almost lost my life but I lived but have to live with a traumatic brain injury.
Because of this, I was unable to teach for 2+ years. Now that I am finally back in the classroom I need some help because I came back to a new environment where my students have many special needs and are low incidence. They are so loving and so caring and try so hard to accomplish the lessons I try to teach them. If they had access to technology daily they would be able to get to their grade level and achieve the district goals and keep up with their pairs.
My Project
If we had more technology in our classroom my students can learn the appropriate curriculum so they can get to their adequate grade level.
When given a paper and pencil it is hard for my students to focus and maintain attention span so therefor very hard to learn what is excepted.
Many of them are in 3rd or 4th grade and still struggle with saying and learning their alphabet so therefor only 2 of them can read.
When they work with technological equipment they can focus and are intrigued with the programs. Influence to technology can enhance their learning experience and excite them about learning.
