My Students
My students have special needs and could really benefit if they had access and exposure to sensory objects to stimulate their needs. If they complete their work and they know there is a reward at the end of their learning and hard work they will always be motivated.
A little over three years, ago I was in a serious accident where I almost lost my life, but I lived.
I have to live with a traumatic brain injury. Because of this, I was unable to teach for two years. Now that I am finally back in the classroom, I need some help because I came back to a new environment where my students have many special needs and many disabilities, they are considered are low incidence. They are so loving and so caring and try so hard to accomplish the lessons I try to teach them.
My Project
My students have many needs and several disabilities so they can truly benefit and lean from trying to build things. If they can put objects, like legos, together by following instructions this can enhance their cognitive functioning and they can grow and flourish in their classroom. They also love putting things together. Not only can these items encourage their work habits and foster their sensory needs and inhibit their gross motor and higher order thinking skills. The have Kindle in the classroom but we need cases for them so they do not easily break if dropped or do not get damaged from an accident
