This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are leaders of the future. They are curious, positive, and taking charge of their learning. Although they come from a high-poverty area in Boston, they are hard-working and deserve the absolute best. The majority of the students in my classroom are ELLs, English Language Learners. 65% of the students at school speak a first language other than English. The faculty, administration, and support staff are dedicated to our students, and we are all proud to be part of the same team.

My Project

My district was generous enough to recently upgrade all of the laptops that teachers use each day. Through the use of my new laptop, I am able to deliver highly engaging lessons to my students. This is wonderful news for me and my students; however, I am now needing a few additional pieces of technology to use my laptop to its full potential. I am also asking for a few educational games that will enhance my lessons by allowing students to practice their reading strategies.

Please help my students receive the lessons that they deserve.
