My Students
I am a Special Education teacher and provide supportive instruction to 22 students with varied disabilities. Of the 22 students 20 have difficulty with reading and are reading at least a grade or more behind their grade level. I am the only SPED teacher at our school and work in a TItle I Elementary school in Southwest Virginia. All of the students I work with qualify for free breakfast and lunches.
My Project
The resources I have located on Teachers Pay Teachers can be used not only through virtual learning but can also be used in the classroom when our students return to school.
These resources have been created by Orton Gillingham instructors and will help make learning more engaging to my students.
With being the only SPED teacher in our school I work with all 22 students across 6 grades and these resources will help with planning for their varied reading levels and instructional needs. Having access to resources that have already been created and used in other classrooms will be helpful to not have to recreate the wheel.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
