Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic Kindergartners that are eager to learn and explore the world around them. They are hard working and and during this time they miss the interaction and closeness of friends. Many come from economically disadvantaged homes with limited resources.
My Project
School closures due to Covid-19 have forced me to teach from home in unconventional ways. While I feel prepared for changes, at this moment it has been difficult since my students lack technology to help support with distance learning. I want to be able to have them hear me clearly during our live lessons.
The Airpods will help facilitate my lessons by allowing me to be heard more easily.
They can also help me enhance the lessons by letting me move away from the laptop so we can have more engaging lesson with dance and movement.
Using the Airpods rather then the speaker from the laptop I can create an environment where they can feel engaged and try to continue to build on their need for positive interactions and connections.
