I will be teaching a class of multicultural fifth graders who are a mixture of ELD, special needs, and gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and try their best.
More than half of our students come from low-income families who cannot provide them with the resources they need to help give their children the best education possible.
These students are the ones on the free or reduced-price lunch list.
My Project
We can all agree that this year has been like no other! Everyone was forced to use more technology during teaching without properly being trained. I am one of those teachers who is tech-savvy and creates her own material. But I have to say, recreating a curriculum for a whole year has been quite a challenge!
Does it address the standards, does it provide the engagement I am looking for, is the assessment a proper evaluation, will it help me meet the needs of my students remotely?
These are all the questions that go through my head for each lesson/unit! It takes up so much time to find or create what I need to teach. That is where I discovered Teachers pay Teachers.
