Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a speech therapist in East Harlem working with students in grades Pre-k to 8. My students have a range of speech and language difficulties that affects their learning.
My students love using technology and would greatly benefit from having access to an ipad in speech therapy.
They all have their own unique ways of learning and I love seeing them gain confidence when they improve their skills. I think an iPad would be a great addition to the speech room.
My Project
I would love to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to learn their speech and language skills using an iPad. There are so many fun and interactive speech apps that can really help my students.
Many of my students benefit from visual and tactile input which can be enhanced with the use of an iPad.
The iPad can be used to improve many areas of speech and language skills such as articulation, reading, listening skills, auditory processing, vocabulary, story telling and many more.
Please consider how much the students can benefit from having access to an iPad in speech therapy.
