Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every person, every student learns in a different way. Any given student will also need different learning supports and approaches depending on the class or time of day. In other spaces at our school, students have benefitted tremendously by being given their own choice and say on where the sit - or stand - to complete their learning tasks. These balance boards would greatly help students to feel enabled and supported as they self-regulate and exercise choice in our social studies classroom.
Students will benefit physically and emotionally from the balance boards, while also extending their content knowledge with the scholastic news subscription.
In the past, I have used this Scholastic subscription to work on literacy, analysis, and current event knowledge with students in a structured format. Many also love to read these independently.
With your generous donation, students will have the skills and resources necessary to focus on their classwork, engage, and become aware, global citizens.
I work to make school and fun and exciting place to be so they can be present and ready to learn. All the supplies listed will help set us up for a successful year of growth and learning. Thank you for your help!
