My Project

To support professional growth across our K–5 teams, I am asking for 23 copies of The Teacher Clarity Playbook. Our PLCs will use this resource to deepen our shared understanding of clarity in instruction—specifically how to design and communicate clear learning intentions, success criteria, and progressions.

For me personally, engaging with this text will push my professional growth by strengthening my ability to guide teachers in connecting daily instruction to long-term learning goals.

I plan to apply what I learn in coaching conversations, in PLC facilitation, and in classroom walkthroughs by focusing on how clarity impacts both teacher planning and student learning.

Students will directly benefit because clearer expectations and success criteria allow them to take greater ownership of their learning. When students understand what they are learning, why it matters, and how to know if they are successful, they become more engaged, more confident, and more capable of self-monitoring their progress. This work will not only support higher levels of achievement but also foster independence and agency in our learners.
