Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Take a monument, close your eyes, and picture this. You are walking through the hallways at your elementary school and notice a new display. The heading reads “Wall of Fame”. You see framed pictures of your school’s alumni featured. Each framed picture contains a description of their career and how your school helped prepare them to reach their goal. Even as an adult envisioning this moment, you may be feeling a sense of pride. Imagine how you would have felt as a student.
That sense of school pride, the realization that students that attended their school have successful careers, and exposure to the various career opportunities that are available to them is exactly what I want my students at Taylor Elementary to feel everytime they pass by the Taylor's Wall of Fame.
