Tasty Treats for Academic Athletes

My Project

I am inspired every day by my 8th-grade Academic Pentathlon team and their incredible determination to succeed. These students juggle rigorous schoolwork with intense competition preparation, balancing their time and energy to master new challenges. What makes them special is their enthusiasm for learning and their commitment to working as a team, even when the odds are tough. Many of them come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, yet they show up to every practice with positivity and perseverance. As their coach, I want to ensure they feel supported and valued in every way.

Snacks like chips, fruit snacks, Capri Suns, and beef jerky will make a big difference in keeping my students energized and focused.

Academic Pentathlon practices are long and demanding, often lasting hours as they dive into math problems, analyze historical texts, or rehearse speeches. These snacks will help them stay fueled during these sessions, ensuring they can give their best effort. On competition days, having snacks on hand will reduce stress and keep them comfortable and prepared to perform at their best. Imagine students collaborating over a snack break, encouraging each other, and celebrating their hard work—these moments create bonds that fuel their success.
