Taste of Justice: Celebrating Culture, Cooking and Racial Justice

Help me give my students a deep appreciation for their heritage and the diverse traditions of their peers.

My Project

Students discover food is a powerful way to tell stories, preserve culture, and fight for justice. The project will culminate in a Cultural Culinary Exhibit Hall, where students will present their dishes, research, and personal connections to various cuisines. With multimedia stations, live cooking demos, and a student MC guiding the audience, this experience will allow students to become cultural ambassadors, bridging communities through food.

Many of my students come from culturally rich, underrepresented communities, and this event allows them to tell their stories.

The requested equipment will transform our school into an interactive cultural showcase. Students will present their research, cook traditional recipes, and proudly speak about their heritage. Using projectors, microphones, and speakers, the entire school will hear and see their voices and visuals.

Together, we will create a powerful experience that bridges cultures, builds empathy, and celebrates justice one plate and one presentation at a time.
