Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school. My class consists of 12 students who have mild to moderate disabilities. This class focuses on Academic, Career and Essential Skills. Our classroom has a mix of students with different abilities and grades varying from second grade to forth grade. Although our kids are frustrated on many different levels, I hope to strive and create a classroom that is supportive to each and ever child. A classroom that is fun, exciting, and encourages exploring and learning.
My Project
This project is for materials to create kinesthetic and visual stimulating task boxes for my students. These boxes are multi disciplinary subject boxes that allow the students to work on math, writing, reading, motor gross skills and life skills.
Since my students are working on their Independent education personalized goals, these task boxes allow them to navigate and master their goals independently.
The use of these activity chest organizer boxes, they will encourage the students to develop responsibility of maintaining and keeping track of their own learning. In addition, these two box kits will help our class to stay organized.
