Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom consists of elementary students in special education. Most of my students are working on skills that are two grade levels or more below their age. Students in my class use task boxes to develop their confidence and independence while working on skills at their instructional level. The items requested in this project will support the creation of task boxes.
My goal is to assemble a variety of hands-on, reusable task boxes that target key academic, functional, and life skills.
These boxes will be individualized based on student goals.
To implement this project effectively, I am requesting the following supplies:
* Gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers - Task box cards and activities will be purchased through Teachers Pay Teachers.
* Hanging file folders, quart storage bags, and packing tape to organize the task boxes.
* Laminating sheets, velcro, expo markers, erasers, and whiteboard cleaner will allow the resources to be reusable for multiple sessions and students.
These task boxes will help students foster independence, confidence, and routine. My students look forward to the new task boxes we will be creating. Thank you for your support!
