My Students
This project will be for my third grade class this next school year. I am switching grades and am looking forward to working with a new group of kids and helping them develop a love for learning! Our school is amazing, and it is a very warm and inviting place. We have a wonderful community of teachers, parents, and students working hard every day to help everyone succeed.
My school has a very diverse population of students and families.
We are located in what some call a bedroom community, that refers to parents working farther from home. Some of our students are low income, English Language Learners, come from single parent homes, or are living with other guardians. It can be challenging meeting the needs of the varying abilities and backgrounds of the students, but it is something I enjoy doing. I am looking to instill a love for learning in my students.
My Project
My students have requested healthy snack options as many of them know they have a hard time making a good choice. They have also asked for water bottles that they can reuse everyday and take out to recess with them.
My students would like stability balls and wiggle seats so they can have alternative seating, getting their wiggles out while they learn.
They have requested a fun scavenger hunt game to keep them moving!
Finally my students have requested supplies to create brag tags for meeting their active goals and making healthy choices.
All of these items will make a difference in my student's lives and help them to make healthy and active choices everyday. The habits they make now, will stay with them for a lifetime.
