Tapping Into A Boys Keen Sense of Humor Through Books

Help me give my students a diverse library that inspires students to read and develop a love for reading.

My Project

Learning to read is not the only hard thing, it is getting students to see themselves as readers and growing a love for reading.

I want to create a more diverse classroom library that focuses on books and book series that appeal to boys.

By this time in the year the boys in my room have already explored, read, or passed on reading what I currently have. With new series and books being written each year, I would love to expand what I already have and create an even more exciting library!

A large majority of students don't have the means to buy books and create their own home library. I want to break that barrier and provide my students with books that they can take home to read and return. A variety of books is the key to keeping students interested in reading.
