Tangram Solutions for Kids

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students consist of three and four-year-olds who love to learn. They are eager to explore through hands-on activities, and I'm eager to engage them in meaningful play experiences to foster lifelong learning experiences. They range in different levels of academic achievement including language development, and about 50% are English Language Learners.

Our school is an early childhood center whose motto is to spread a love of learning and respect for one another.

Learning can only take place when our students care about their school and friends. Caring for your friends and teachers starts with role models so that students take pride in their school and learning will naturally occur.

My Project

Tangram puzzles enhance student imagination. It aids in visual, spatial and analytical thinking. Like other hands-on building games, they invite students to create and build. The tangram shape builders foster mathematical learning and help students with problem-solving solutions.

Tangrams for young learners are a great tool for building STEM skills.

Providing each student with their own set to keep at home will aid in geometry terms, problem-solving skills and enhance language development.

All the students including my English Language Learners will be able to engage in meaningful learning. Students with special needs will be able to use their abilities to recreate shapes or create their own.
