it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love using their Chromebooks to access Discovery Education to help plan STEAM projects. Having good-quality headphones will give my students the freedom to watch these helpful videos at a volume that is comfortable for them and not be a distraction to other surrounding students. We will be able to continue using our devices during STEAM project time while keeping distractions to a minimum. They will present and share activities through creative and innovative means like Puppet Edu, Clips, Green Screen, Keynote, iMovie, and GarageBand, and participate in online learning games and quizzes through apps like Kahoot! My students will also be able to use these headphones while completing their math work online. Similarly to STEAM, students are able to watch helpful videos and have the computer read questions to them if they have difficulty reading. My students also love to listen to books online! They practice reading by choosing fiction and non-fiction books including anti-racist books as part of our schoolwide racial equity focus. Keeping headphones tangle free is very difficult. My students love to play with the wires as they concentrate on the story and even put them in their mouths! Having wireless headphones will make it so much easier for storage and for safety!
