Tangible Programing With Micro:bits

Help me give my students Microbits and a storage case to allow them to engage with coding and electronics.

My Project

The micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that can be used for tangible programming. It has many input and output features, including lights, sounds, and sensors. Students can use the micro:bit to create hands-on projects that help them learn to code.

Micro:bits help students learn by providing a hands-on, tangible ways to engage with coding and electronics, allowing them to see the direct results of their code through the device's physical outputs, which fosters a deeper understanding of programming concepts while encouraging creativity and problem-solving skills through real-world applications.

Students can physically interact with the micro:bit, seeing immediate results from their code on the LED display or through sensor inputs. This helps solidify their understanding of programming concepts.

Microbit projects often involve combining different STEM disciplines like electronics, physics, and computer science, allowing students to apply their knowledge across various areas.

My students love to use new tools to explore STEM concepts and Micro:bits would be the perfect addition to our STEM curriculum.
