My Project
Hello! Thank you for visiting my project. Specialized Healthcare is a Special Education Classroom where we provide a multi-disciplinary component involving weekly collaborations between an OT/ PT and SLPs in order to provide strategies for global ongoing development in each of these domain areas as it pertains to the current educational programming. Nearly all students at our school are from low-income households and all receive free lunch and breakfast.
These talking brix communicators will allow our non-speaking students to make choices as they are going to and from different parts of the classroom.
The magnetic backings will allow me to place the device next to places such as the bathroom so the student can say "bathroom" before walking in, or say "recess" as they leave the classroom or when returning from recess they can make the choice of "rest" or "centers."
-I can add them strategically around the classroom to provide on-the-spot communication.
-Use together to make choices
-Use with multiple individuals at one time to provide each with a unique communication message
Nearly all students from low‑income households
