I teach Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and AP Biology to 9th through 12th graders. I teach in a high poverty, rural high school. However, what we lack in material goods is more than made up for by the intelligence and drive of my students. I teach inclusion classes and I have been humbled by the willingness of my general education students to step up and work with their classmates who need the extra help.
My students lack supplies and equipment. They have the drive and ambition to do something with their lives, but they need your support in order to make their dreams a reality.
My class needs an electrophoresis power supply as well as the necessary supplies to complete electrophoresis experiments.
Without your support, my students will not be prepared to take the more rigorous college courses that are waiting for them. Your support will be meaningful in at least two ways. Through your help, we will be able to afford important equipment, but ,more importantly, my students will know that they have value to people beyond their local community.
