Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Light Table Sensory Play Materials will encourage student's light and color explorations and inspire scientific inquiries. These manipulatives will help students explore color and light while building math, language and science skills. These hands on materials are translucent and include unique textures of beads, rings and balls. The laminator will be utilized to create visual instructions and examples of how to use the trays to sort, count or create patterns independently. This area will also be used as a Calm Down Area where students can take a sensory break or imitate visual yoga positions on laminated cards when their emotions are too high.
