Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Reading Intervention teacher serving primarily K-3 students. My kiddos come to me from a variety of diverse backgrounds. As part of my over-arching goal of helping students to become lifelong learners and voracious readers I maintain a large, diverse classroom library.

I want my students to see their beautiful families and identities reflected in my classroom library.

Additionally, I wish to provide my students with many opportunities to appreciate individuals and families whose experiences are very different from their own. Please help me provide my students with literature that opens windows and mirrors into the world around them.
