Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is full of books, different types of technology, flexible seating, and music. Students are able to switch seats and complete their work all over the classroom, wherever and however they are most successful.
My students are a great group of students who love to move, create, learn, ask questions, and occasionally make a mess in the classroom.
I am lucky enough to have two classes of 4th graders for science. Whenever we have a lab to complete in class, you can sense the excitement from everybody, including me.
My Project
We are requesting an online classroom license for IXL.com to further our math, language arts, science, and social studies practice. IXL is a website and an app that my students will be able to use while we are participating in distance learning and when we return to school. IXL provides instant feedback as students answer questions. If a student answers a question incorrectly, IXL explains at least one way to correctly answer the question.
With this classroom license, I will be able to differentiate assignments based on what my students need, even when I’m not in the classroom with them.
Having access to this technology will reinforce skills and allow stronger students to stretch themselves further.
