Taking Music Everywhere

My Students

I remember the pain of carrying my instrument from location to location when I was in elementary school. But my struggle of carrying a clarinet safely is in no way a comparison to carrying a tuba safely!

Our students have so may obstacles to overcome.

Before becoming the wonderful school we are now, our students were once in jeopardy of being moved to another school due to low testing and scores. They have risen in their academics as well as the arts over the past two years! We are striving to give them a world class education and exposure to the arts on a level they have never experienced. My band students were all beginners last year but now to hear and witness their improvement is amazing to say the least. The students each were given their own instrument to take home and practice and they have displayed what hard work really can do.

My Project

This year in an effort to increase the exposure of quality musicianship to our students, we have planned more performances that are outside of our community. This tuba case will help so much with transporting the instrument safely. The slightest dent in a brass instrument can manipulate the sound and cause trouble for the player. This case would also make it easier for the student to take the instrument back and forth from home to practice daily!

Our students deserve the best resources and it's unfortunate that the arts go under funded and unmentioned so often.

Please help our students maximize their opportunity as musicians while they are young. This is a special time in their lives and it's so rare to find a young tuba player who is as passionate as the one I teach. He is going to set the bar high and leave a legacy for years to come. This tuba case will carry a student's passion, a student's escape, and a student's hope!
