it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are proud of their urban community but are faced with several obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Many of my students have little opportunity for enriching life experiences, and they enjoy being in a classroom, which provides them with a sense of structure, continuity, and safety.
My students thrive when challenged and are eager to succeed.
My young learners are wildly creative, inquisitive, and spontaneous. They like to move. They love engaging in hands-on math activities, and they crave positive reinforcement.
Some students are being raised in single parent households and receive free lunch based on household income. From the moment they walk into my intervention classroom, I try my best to focus on their potential and growth. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire my learners to challenge themselves and strive for greatness.
My Project
Desks are wonderful, but functional stools are even BETTER! My small math groups would soar if they had the opportunity to use sturdy stools while solving their math problems.
Proper seating is an integral part of maximizing student productivity, safety, and comfort in a student's work environment. My young mathematicians will feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their classroom space. Stools will allow my students to choose where they work on their math activities while cooperatively examining their materials in a group setting.
