What I love most about my students is their excitement for hands-on learning and their eagerness to take on new challenges. They are problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and incredibly creative when given the opportunity to explore. What makes them truly special is their curiosity and their willingness to try, fail, and try again until they succeed. They thrive in environments where learning is active and connected to real-world applications.
This project will provide drones that allow students to learn and apply coding skills in an engaging and meaningful way.
Using drones, students will write code to control flight paths, complete missions, and solve real-world challenges. This takes abstract programming concepts and makes them visible and tangible. Instead of just learning code on a screen, they’ll see their work come to life as drones respond to the commands they’ve written. This hands-on experience builds confidence, enhances problem-solving skills, and shows students how technology can be used in real careers like engineering, robotics, and environmental science.
My goal for this project is to give students an opportunity to develop 21st-century skills through exciting, real-world technology. By integrating drones into our curriculum, I hope to inspire a love for STEM and help my students see themselves as future innovators and leaders.
