My Students
My students have been displaced from their school by the forces of nature,an EF4 tornado. When we start back to school they will be faced with the memories of the past few weeks and the terrible things that has gone on in their community.
My students are in the 5th grade.
We recently suffered a devastating blow to our school from an EF4 tornado. We are now forced to move to a temporary location.
My class this year is very inquisitive. They are a group of students that want new and different ways to learn. When we start our new beginning I want to give them something new.
Our Elementary school houses about 700 students. Ninety of those are in the 5th grade. We are in a rural section of Southern Indiana.
My Project
My students lives have been changed forever. I want them to be able to move on and start a new beginning. These Tablet computers will enable my students to learn using a new and exciting tool. There are so many applications available to education today that we can use. Our new learning experience with these applications will be vast and exciting.
Students will be able to take advantage of the new digital resources available to them today. They will be able to take this PC to their seat and do research on a classroom topic, such as the 50 states, that we study in 5th grade. They may choose to read a digital book at their seat or around the room. They may play an education review game. This will open up a whole new world for my students. These are just of few of the things this new learning tool can help them accomplish.

They have been through so much in the past two weeks and I want to give them something positive to remember from this terrible experience.
