My Students
I try to find the most engaging activities for my rambunctious group of first graders. They need activities that get them up and moving and provide them hands-on materials that make their learning come alive. It is so important to find the hook to help them learn something that will stay in their long-term memory.
My goal in my classroom is to not just do something because I've done it year after year but to make sure I am finding lessons and activities that will best meet the needs of my students.I ask myself every year "Is there a better way to teach this skill?" I scour resources constantly and every time I come upon a new idea I figure out a way to try it out to see if it will work better than what I have previously done.
That's what keeps me growing every year.
My Project
I am looking for assistance in providing my students with an engaging and rigorous classroom. The team leaders who will be presenting at the conference are some of the most innovative leaders currently in education. They will provide me with tips, tricks, best practices, and teacher secrets to make me the best teacher that I can be.
The educational rock stars who are leading this conference are not only providing their attendees with research-based strategies but are empowering, motivating, and preparing them to create dynamic lessons upon returning home.
My students will benefit from my attendance because I will learn how to challenge them and provide them with even more engaging lessons than I already do. I'm ready to reach outside the box and find another layer to what I can do and provide for my students as a teacher.
