Take Me To Italy!

Help me give my students a GoPro 360 degrees camera to create interactive videos that will “take” them to Italy and will give them the impression to actually speak to native speakers across the ocean!

My Students

My school is a Title I school, with over 45% of the population receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Resilience is the word that can better describe the young people in my class.

My students love challenges and take part in every project I offer them, whether to volunteer and help others, tutoring their peers, or being involved in the Italian community in our city.

They work hard, are highly motivated (I step in when they are not) and deserve to have access to the best learning opportunities.

My Project

The GoPro 360 degrees video camera will allow me to create videos showing Italy and Europe to my students in a context that will be like an immersion in each place, but with simulated conversations they will be able to interact with.

If I cannot take them all to Italy, the videos will allow me to take Italy to them.

They will be able to see this beautiful country, and also to interact in simulated conversations.

In my instruction, I make an extensive use of technology to create activities and experiences for my students, but I need to keep up with new tools to nurture my students' interest and motivation.
